About

I’ve been taking photographs for years, but just recently been trying to work out what type of photography I enjoy the most.

Looking through my collection of photos my favourites have been taken when wandering around the streets.  Even when I go on holiday I come back with more images of urban life and objects than standard tourist photos.

I came across The Street Photographer’s Manual by David Gibson.  It gives a wonderful overview of street photography by focussing on a series of themes along with practical projects.  This led me to collate my old and new street based photographs into a set of themes based on David's book.  It definetly made me think about what I am shooting.

I realised that taking images in themes or groups, whether street or events, is what I enjoy doing.  So I'm going to carry on doing small portfolios on planned themes and whatever pops up in front of me.

I'm a member of Bath based group                              and do some themed projects along with them.

I post occasional photos to Flickr and you can find these at www.corcoran.me.uk
